Publisher's Summary

Boldly go to times where no one has gone before. While transporting a contraband Russian time machine and developmental weaponry, Private Everett Dumphee finds himself cast into new settings when the device suddenly activates. What follows are fantastic high-tech experiences that might be called the ultimate off-road adventure. For the determined Dumphee - narrowly escaping with his life and three beautiful women - it is not necessarily a matter of will he make his destination, but when. These four vivid characters trek through this fun and fast-moving journey like there's no tomorrow. Wherever that may be.

"A wild, high-tech ride through time. Read it to have a rollicking good time." (Brian Herbert, co-author Dune: House Attreides)

Critic Reviews

"L. Ron Hubbard wrote successfully in almost every genre imaginable, so it only makes sense that he tried his hand at lighthearted satire. In this 1999 novelization of an original Hubbard screenplay, character actor Tait Ruppert has a gleeful time playing the clueless but always-intrepid West Virginia moonshiner’s son, Everett Dumphee, who accidentally turns on a covert military time machine and takes off into the past. His adventures include wooing Native American maidens and battling saber-toothed tigers. Galaxy Press has added a bed of realistic, film-like sound effects and a complete musical score to keep the action hopping, while a host of Hollywood voice talents provides good pacing and comic-book voices to this playful spoof of everything sci-fi." Kept me amused for a few hours. A lighthearted interesting story, with entertaining narration and sound effects.
