Critic Reviews

"McInerney mixes just the right measure of humor and bittersweet reality in this fun-filled international romance. Audie Award-winning narrator Melissa Eccleston handles the environs perfectly. Women who enjoy laughter along with a modern love story are in for a treat." ( AudioFile Magazine)
"A humorous, romantic, and sexy novel...an intriguing and highly entertaining read." (Sunday World Ireland)

The narration was not good. The accents were awful. Dominic’s mish mosh accent and the pronunciation of Americerrrr (America) just cringe. The Australian and Irish accents genuinely awful. I couldn’t finish it. I love Monica‘s books and I’m sure reading it myself I would have thoroughly enjoyed. But as an audio book, it wasn’t for me.

It was all right it wasn’t the best story I’ve heard but it was her first I think there’s definitely improvement from another one that I’ve heard but it’s a sweet story

Ok but not the best

I really struggled to keep going and couldn't finish. So disappointing when I have truly enjoyed the earthy realism of Monica McInerny's other works. The story line was thin. The main character was a superficial bore.
Melissa Eccleston's Irish and American accents were awful. Give me Ulli Birve any day.
Sorry, this one seemed like a rush job to me.

Disappointing
