Publisher's Summary

Upon the frozen fields of Volnoss, a strange rift has appeared. Eadon's legions have gathered; the final invasion of Agora draws near.

Bound by his vow of fealty, Dirk Blackthorn finds himself at Eadon's side. His first mission; kill the entire royal family of Eldalon, leave none of Whill's kin alive.

Deep within the heart of the Mountains Ro'Sar, King Roakore prepares to travel to Elladrindellia and reunite the boy Tarren with Whill. He hopes also to have the ancient dwarven tome, The Book of Ky'Dren, translated. And he trusts none but Whill to do it.

Avriel remains trapped within the body of the white dragon. Neither the elder elves nor Whill with his great power can find a way to return her to her body. With the racial memories of her dragon line clear in her mind, she begins to lose hold of her elven self.

Whill has found the ancient elven blade of legend, Adromida. Finally he has made it to Elladrindellia, and his training with the elves has begun. Although he is safe for the time being from the reach of Eadon, a new threat arises that may prove his greatest challenge yet.

Oh NO

I have listened to book one and two but I just couldn’t come at subjecting my ears to the narrator Saethon Williams any longer, he was horrible. He made the characters sound stupid and unrealistic and I will have to give the rest of the series a miss as I just can’t listen to this narrator. So disappointing.

Narrator is the worst ever.

What did you like best about A Song of Swords? What did you like least?

Still struggling with this book because of the narrative. I have considered not finishing it but will continue only because of the story, so I can continue with the series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Song of Swords?

Nothing as yet, again my irritation with the narrator keeps me from enjoying this book.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The voices he used for the various characters were so inappropriate and irritating that it makes it almost impossible to enjoy the book.

Any additional comments?

I am looking forward to the next book and hopefully a better narrator.

Too short!

Good book, too short though! And they need to just pick a narrator and stick with him already. I definitely liked the narrator of book 2 the best!

Good third book

I really enjoyed this book and hope there is going to be further books in the series. The only problem is that the narrator was changed again for book 3 and I found him quite hard to listen to as he made some of the main characters sound very young and like they were continually wining. If I hadn't already listened to the first 2 books. Then I properly would have sent this book back, but only due to the narrator. I really like this author.
