About this listen

When Marianna Santino's roommate is killed, Detective Ethan O'Hara can't fathom the motive. Then he realizes the deaf teacher was the intended target.

Marianna must have something the murderer desperately wants. But what? Digging for the truth, the guarded cop tries to learn everything he can about Marianna. Her world. Her family. Her beauty, faith, and fierce independence.

In spite of himself, Ethan finds that he can't keep his feelings at bay. Soon he's willing to risk everything - including his heart - to lay the silent terror stalking Marianna to rest.

I liked everything about this book - characters, details, narrator, storyline. It was a romantic suspense book as Lynette Eason is known for but a fresh storyline. Loved it!

Unexpectedly good

For me the storyline was ok if predictable but the strong Christian overtones stopped me dead in my tracks and had me wondering if this was a church released book.

Strong Christian overtones

Thin plot, too much praying to god. The author repeats the same lines over and over again, there is an attempt at a plot, but it falls far short with the over the top annoyances of praying. It should be in the religious section of a library.

One of the worst books I’ve read
