I purchased this audiobook because it was narrated by Mary Jane Wells. As always, her performance was stellar, breathing life into the author’s words and providing Willa & Dom with emotional depth and reality. The story is well-written, building the plot to a climax (no pun intended), but isn’t complex. It does have witty dialogue occasionally peppered with profanity which suited both the personas of those delivering it and the context of the situations. The game of shuttlecock was amusing. Things get very hot and steamy (and kinky) during the second half of the book, so if this and/or a touch of swearing isn’t for you, then this book isn’t either. I enjoyed it because MJW’s storytelling perfectly complemented the writing.

However, the narrator was changed from the first two books and I found Mary Jane Well’s’ style just plain irritating. I struggled through simply to know what happened but I will avoid anything she reads in the future.

So wanted to listen to Dom and Willa’s story….
