Not as engaging as other books by author. probably woukd have returned if not already over the few returns audible allows. i skipped a lot to get to end. nothing surprising or particularly unique. always love female narrator, make narratornot a big fan of, but does suit character. bit overtge alpha protective male - know author tries to put contemporary spin on this, but now just feels trite and out if step with times.

The Stay A Spell series is one of my favourite book series. I had really high hopes for this spin off series and Juliette Cross did not disappoint! this was heart warming, hilarious and just the right amount of spice. I love these characters and this universe. I can't wait for book 2!

I'm not one who, everytime an author brings a new book out, says "I loved this one the best"; but I have never felt like this about a book. As the first in a spin off series, where I LOVE the main series, I knew I'd love it. But I honestly connected and loved these characters and this book more then any of the others. I don't know what it is about it, but my heart was full and I had a giddy smile through the whole book.
A "next gen" series can be alot of pressure and hype, but this one far surpassed any of my expectations!
Juliette Cross hit it out of the park. Perfect narration, as always, my only criticism is that (this Aussie girl) wishes the MMC's Texan accent was used properly, but then I may have combusted.
