Liam

This was never supposed to happen.

My desire to rid the world of these vile people who make others suffer was never supposed to bleed into my personal life, but here I am… sorting out the pieces to keep my two lives separate.

Of course, Gabriel is the good that keeps me balanced. He makes me laugh, he makes me happy, and he makes me feel emotions I never thought were possible. But when a body is found at the zoo, unveiling a string of murders that go back years, we’re both pulled in… and we soon realize that we’re not the only ones working in the shadows.

Gabriel

Liam’s pleased that I’ve caved and moved myself and my beloved cat into his spacious house after mere weeks of dating. I just need to watch out, or he’ll be proposing to me the next chance he gets. Life with him is amazing, whether we’re epically failing at packing (where did that silicone toy come from?) or he’s insisting that Matthew isn’t his bestie (he is).

But our newest case leads us to a crossroads where we have to decide whether we should do things the proper way or Liam’s way. And I have to admit that the line of what is right and wrong is beginning to blur as a serial killer draws us into his web. He just doesn’t realize that he’s not the only hunter spinning it.

Oh, how I love Liam and Gabriel. I was waiting on the next book in this series. I kept stalking and waiting. Felt a little like Liam :) Greg Boudreaux is SO good at narrating these guys. I read the book then I grabbed the audiobook as soon as it was released.
There is a complex murder/mystery in this instalment. And fear. Gabriel fearing he might lose Liam to his serial killing ways. Fear from Liam that there would be blowback on Gabriel because of what this case involves. Who it involves. How much he loves Gabriel.
The kitties, Lucy Fur and Butter are little scene stealers.
Liam isn't keen on friends but he seems to be attracting them. Just like the amount of people on his blackmail list is growing.
Fantastic series with an equally fantastic narrator.

Fantastic Series.

This was so good! I am so happy to be back with Liam and Gabriel. I loved these two when they first appeared in the first story and they have just got better. We also now have a cast of supporting characters who add so much to the story and can be involved in specific stories moving forward. This story focussed on Liam trying to hunt down a serial killer who has a connection to one of his colleagues. Gabriel calls them friends, but that might be too hard for Liam. The story unfolded slowly as there were secrets that too a while to finally come out, but this was a great device as it kept the listener on the edge of their seat. Brilliant! More please!
Greg Boudreaux is one of my favourite narrators and this adds to that.

The best yet!

Love the story and continuation of Liam and Gabriel. Greg's narration perfectly highlights the dry sarcasm of the writing

So much sarcasm
