Enjoyable
Having listened to several of this author’s audiobooks, I must commend her for her interesting storylines and quality selection of narrators. Whilst I don’t always feel her stories are developed to their fullest potential, I do find myself drawn in to see out the ending (even if there are some tedious repetitions throughout).
I found this ‘Necessary’ story (book 1 of a 2 part series) to be one of the more enjoyable ones. Each character had distinct personalities and were appropriately portrayed as such. Various subject matter was also handled tastefully. I recommend this book/series and suggest quickly skipping through any bits of story repetition you may find annoying.

A bit clique
Felt the characters should have been more evolved before they got to the sex. There’s no redeeming qualities about Garrett at the beginning. He’s dominating and hassling for sex. She talks as if she’s hard to get but is very easy to get. Bit mundane and pathetic. The story doesn’t build the chemistry between the two protagonists before they are “into it”. The story grew better in the second half with more character development so was able to finish. Better books around with more lively witty dialogue and slow build up of chemistry between the more likeable main characters.

Kinda toxic
I'm not a fan of stories where the woman continues to say no but the man just persists and she gives in. It's kinda gross and toxic. I want my stories sexy AND consenting.
