Story was interesting, characters also likeable and interesting. Despite giving the reader lots of glimpses into main character’s minds, I often felt like I was watching strangers moving through life - maybe because the setting was unfamiliar to me. The way the Civil War was represented seemed very even-handed, and again, was very interesting. Narrator did a great job.
