The novel is nice. Hero and heroine are straightforward and vocal. They have great communication as partners. The narration sounded better than the other novel. Overall it was a good listen!

Lovely tale and I enjoyed it . however the narration was mechanical and totally off putting. it's taken me several attempts at different times to get through the novel unfortunately.

This was the most enchanting book I have had the pleasure of listening to for a while. It's funny how a storyline so simple can captivate your attention to the point that you cannot put it down. Strong characters that you felt like you knew completely. Compelling writing, and storyline.

I enjoyed the story line but would’ve enjoyed it a lot more had the reader counted to two between the sentences. It was as if she had a lot to say within a time limit and as a listener it was hard to absorb what was happening at times. For that reason I didn’t get as deeply inside the heroine’s mind as I normally would. Still, I enjoyed it and that won’t stop me from listening to another tale from this author.

I enjoy the tone and expression of this narrator's voice. The one thing that bothered me was the loud intake of breath each sentence.

unlike the majority of romance stories, this story was sweet and straight to the point, very easy to listen to.

A wonderful love story written in the Victorian era. The lengths the male hero went too, to be with the woman he loves was so beautiful and something I hope to find 1 day. I loved that Is Reid talked about Parliament and those sorts of things they faced in that day and an age.

Simon and Mina got there well deserved happy ending. I also loved that her brother Antony got his too.

As for the narrator Sasha Higgins, she is not my favourite narrator at let the book down but it did not hold me back from enjoying the story.

I liked both The H&H, They were a perfect match and I enjoyed their banter and interactions. Simon was intense and interesting. I enjoyed the progression of Simon and Minas relationship, the romantic affection shown by Simon towards her clearly surprised even him. Mina was fierce and vulnerable at the same time, while she was wary a of her own emotions and feeling, after a near death experience she threw caution to the wind and went with it until it was too late for her to pull back. I must admit the chapters towards the end screwed with my emotions and I definitely got something in my eye a couple of times. I recommend this if you like a love story, there is no BS just 2 people in love trying to navigate their way in a world that makes it impossible.
