I recommend you to read it, I can't wait to start the next book and find out more about Resolution Ranch and the people of Prairie.
It won't surprise me if this becomes a Netflix show.

the H was a little too by the book for me. missed opportunities only added to thr angst ans this is where I was waiting for fire to be fought with fire, but it went in another direction.
for me, I'm more action, attack and suspense driven in my plotlines. Tesssa writes well but a little to sweet for my liking. the push pull between h and H got a frustrating and the book seemed more about introspective feelings and hidden yearning.
and I felt a loose thread hadn't been tied off. perhaps in book 2????
if that's your trope, then I'd say you'd enjoy it.
