Publisher's Summary

Dakota Scott has spent her entire adult life trying to outrun her past, but even the privilege and reputation her family name affords her haven't helped her forget. Her mother's mental illness and the memory of the night that haunts her from so long ago won't release her. When the one woman with the power to set her free shows up, Dakota is drawn to her, but she is a painful reminder of everything Dakota has been trying desperately to escape. When Jessie Weldon returns to her hometown after thirty years of avoiding it, she knows she has demons to face and a conflicted past to resolve, but she has no idea love awaits her. Can she give her heart to Dakota with the tragic past that lies between them?

Really nice job by author and narrator.

I really enjoyed this book. In fact I think it's one of the better ones I've listened to from this genre. Lori Prince, your narration in this book is my favorite of yours yet. It was an emotional page turner.

An amazing boom.. you can not pass up!!!!

This was a really good book I found the raw emotions from each character to be realistically sound. The story line was easy to follow. It kept me engaged and wanting...like any good read should. I was heartbroken for the MCs and hopeful to the end for their love. It was really heartwarming and I would recommend it to anyone.

Loved this one

I really enjoyed this one.

The story is heartfelt with a touch of cute and lots bittersweet emotions. But it’s a good one.
It’s not the typical lesbian romance with its meet-cute scenes. These ladies have some serious history and not the good kind. The characters are cute in their own rights. Their interactions together are super cute (in the not so sad moments) and once they overcome some issues, you can’t help but root for them.

The narrator was great. Lots of deeper voiced women but not in a masculine way, more mature sounding. I’m not sure how to explain that lol. But I really enjoyed her take and she did great with the expressions in her voice for the characters.

I would definitely recommend.

I really loved this book

I loved this book from start to finish. I wasn't overly thrilled with the narrator, but I have heard worse so it didn't ruin it for me.

Good story

Different from more of the regular stuff. It has a lot to do with grieving and lost, with forgetting someone’s mistakes and out own. Highly recommended

touching

This is an amazing story. I loved every word of it. I laughed and cried more than once. I do enjoy roller coasters though. A book I want to have in paper so I can read it over again. Touches the spirit and leaves me breathless.

Excellent audio!

I loved A Heart to Call Home. Wow! What’s not to like. Dakota and Jessie are excellent main characters. So relatable. This book reminds us all that you never know what goes on behind closed doors in other peoples houses. Wealth does not equal happiness.

Okay story. Terrible narration.

I’m not typical one to write reviews but I found the narration of this book to keep me entirely disconnected from the characters. The narrator’s own voice was fine as the main character. However, the voice she used for every other character, including the secondary main character, sounded like a boozed out, high as a kite, surfer dude from the 1980s. I couldn’t understand why every character, male and female, had to sound like this and it made it super distracting to enjoy the limited pivotal moments this book had to offer.

Another cracking narration

Lori Prince is a fantastic narrator who brings the characters to life. The story was rich and full with many layers, to keep the interest throughout. Excellent book
