great and well read broad overview of world wine. glad I bought this one. I'm in the grape growing industry and still got a lot out of the book. Does inspire travel though to now experience this first hand. Info is good and you will surely want to follow it up by sampling for yourself all the hallmark wines you have learned about.

A great book providing a good introduction. Read in an engaging manner which expresses passion and good english witt. Julian needs to learn how to pronounce Otago, but his efforts of french, italian etc... were very impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
