Publisher's Summary
"A Faint Heart" is a testament to the author's brilliant sense of style and subtle sense of psychology. Two men have a passionate and loving relationship but are not homosexuals. The narrative is about a young clerk who can not reconcile his own personal happiness at marrying a lovely young woman while the rest of the world is not equally as happy. He winds up institutionalized and his beloved marries another, but falls to the ground weeping when meeting his dear friend two years later. A unique story, unlike any other we know of in the literary world.

Worst Narration I Have Heard
I love Audio books and listen to most any quality works, but this wonderful short story by Dostoevsky is entirely ruined by a completely inept narrator.

Abominable Narration of a Very Unusual Dostoyevsky
This is a strange short story not quite allegorical, not quite a character piece, not quite a slice of life, not quite a philosophical statement. This is not one of my favorite stories but it is a bit interesting and the writing is excellent. Unfortunately the narration is really quite bad. The narrator stumbles over words and names, has a dreadful tempo. Although it is only one buck, I can’t say this is worth even that.

Story is great. Narrator terrible
Dostoyevsky is a master for sure, but the narration of this book is quite bad. The narrator sounds as if he can't wait for the book to end so that he can do something else, resulting in a feeling that he is dissapointed that he must read this book. It is a great story, however, so too bad.
