Loved the story , wonderful writing once again by Loretta Chase but the narrator, Kate Reading , bought the story alive with skilful changes of voice and nuance to her characters. The challenge to a female narrator of realistically portraying the male voice is very real but Ms Reading manages this very skilfully. 5 stars is well deserved .

This story had me laughing from the beginning, I found the sarcasm and banter very amusing and I recommend this story just for the giggles. The main characters verbal sparring and wit endeared me to them both. I will definitely listen to the next book.

I found both this fun story and superb narration complementary and very entertaining. Having already listened to (and also enjoyed) Book 2 first, I highly recommend the series and wish it were available in its entirety right now so that i could complete the series!

An excellent little romp into Historical Adventures. Loretta Chase is awesome. She creates an awful lot of fun (I love her humor) and some crazy adventures. The 11 hours just disappeared.

I loved this light hearted nonsensical romance. I do enjoy witty male leads and clever women they fall in love with. The writing is very entertaining, and it's also beautifully narrated by Kate Reading.
