Publisher's Summary

An introductory guide to words and phrases in the important Xhosa language, primarily spoken by about seven million people in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and other regions of Southern Africa.

Xhosa is similar to Zulu, a Bantu language, and a branch of the Nguni languages. It is also the language of the fictional country Wakanda in the Marvel movie, Black Panther. It is a language that contains a large number of click consonants. The course is split over 28 short daily sessions with optional review material to improve understanding.

Each daily session is about 20 minutes in length, enabling kids to get to grips with Xhosa vocabulary over the course of a month. Music, games, and other activities are included to make the course engaging for young listeners, and parents and caregivers who are listening may pick up some language skills or have a chance to work on their pronunciation too.

This is the ideal way to practically learn to speak and understand the Xhosa language for kids aged five and up.
