Rhys Dylan is a wonderful writer & his DCi Evan Warlow series is my favourite. Each book brings on believable characters & story lines. I couldn’t put this one down.

Story ok, sing-song narration not great. Not a huge fan of the characters. Snide female sergeant, young bouncy male constable, blah blah. Same-same as other detective stories in the UK.

Factually incorrect: Steve Irwin died from a Stingray attack not the harmless Manta Ray, and he did not pull out the stinger, the ray stung him numerous times and then swum away with its stinger in tact.
