Publisher's Summary
A rock star, a fashion designer, a software tycoon, and a millionaire heiress. Each is glamorous, stunningly attractive and incredibly rich, but their similarities don't end there, they have something else in common too. They are all dead.
Just as the rich and famous are the talk of the town when they're alive, interest in them certainly doesn't die when they do. In stark contrast, few people seem as interested when a local hero, Bagman Jesus, is brutally murdered. Reporter Cindy soon becomes interested in his story: his work with the homeless of San Fransisco was admirable. He was loved by so many - who would want to kill him? Could the down-and-out Samaritan have been hiding a dark secret?
And of course it isn't just Lindsey who has questions to answer, she fiercely depends on Claire's help to crack her case.
Meanwhile, as Cindy tries to solve a mystery of her own, she seeks guidance from her friends, but in doing so, both Cindy and Lindsey are forced to confront feelings they'd buried away, and Yuki falls quite literally head over heels in love - but the man of her dreams isn't quite who he seems.
The Women's Murder Club need each other more than ever, but with tensions running high, will the friends be strong enough to stick together - or will the strain tear them apart?

Suspenseful
As per Patterson’s standard thus novel could have been a predictable plot. But NO NO WAY. The 2 story effect takes the reader on a journey of right and wrong, leaving them to ponder the failings of our justice system and its strengths.
Bravo Patterson another success.

It is like a mexican soap opera
It doesn't mean it has no quality. It means that the story is build like a soap opera. The difference is that the actors in my mind play well. If you want a relaxing read for girls go for it. Otherwise, you should choose something different.

Romance and thriller
Like it or not, the Detective Lindsay is confused by her romance and long term relationship - not fully committed yet though. Fortunately she has also job to do...
Thrilling story about underdogs and rich celebrities - who is poor and who is rich - that's the question. If you like JamesP as author and Carolyn McCormick as narrator, you will like it, although my favorite audiobook from these 2 is The Fourth of July.

Wonderfully absorbing
This is the first book i have downloaded and was sceptical as to listening to rather than reading a book. I was in for a great suprise, this is a thoroughly good book and so well narrated. At first i thought i would listen to it a bit at a time but could not stop listening until it had finished. I liked the fact that two or three cases were going on at the same time which made the story line more interesting.

The book itself is fantastic and I love The Women's Murder Club but what is with the sound effects all through the prologue and the music at the ends of chapters???? No need for it. When we read a book we dont need sound effects and we dont need them when we listen to them.

An older recording but still worth listening.
If, like me, you've bought most of this series of books from Audible, you'll initially be disappointed by a different reader as names are pronounced differently which caused a bit of confusion to start with. And if you can somehow ignore the background cheesy music used for dramatic effect, you're going to love this story like all the others so far

Not great
I get the feeling I didn't quite 'get' this book. There were a couple of different threads going on in the story, and they seemed to be totally unrelated, so I'm not sure why they were in the same book...
I didn't like the narrator, and found that she didn't differentiate between the lead characters well, so I lost track of who was doing what.
Maybe I should have read/listened to the other Women's Murder Club books first, and this may have made more sense then, but after listening to this one, I'm not tempted to get the others.
