The Guardian called it ‘perhaps the pre-eminent Australian meme of the last 10 years’. When Karlson called crime writer Mark Dapin out of the blue, though, Dapin hadn’t heard of him. But there was enough that intrigued him about this theatrical outlaw to continue the conversation. Over the following months emerged a dark and complex past.

Jailed originally in 1974, his life since then has been one unbroken stretch of over 45 years, much of it in solitary confinement, moved again and again as prison after prison failed to contain his explosive temper. It would be enough to break an ordinary man - but Bronson is no ordinary man, and this is no ordinary prison diary.

Great story
I felt the narrator had a good voice but his reading of the story was a bit strange, very stop, start. Overall I’m glad that I persevered with the narrator as it ended up being an amazing story of resilience. GB

Pretty Disappointing
Too much about his life before Jail. When you get a book like this, with the title in mind, you'd expect more from the inside. Narrator had an annoying tone about him.
