So bad it’s almost good

I can’t believe I sorta kinda liked this. It’s so inconceivably unrealistic that I actually got mad at some points... but I kept listening because I wanted to know what happened. It’s short enough, and it was a free download, so there’s that. The narrator helps. Oddly, even though it was bad, I’m about to listen to the next one. Because it’s so bad, it’s almost entertaining.

Fun gimmick, competent story

A fun gimmick, and an interesting mystery. Taking off some points because it’s not as funny as it thinks it is (especially the sections when he talks to his cat, which go on far too long for someone who measures his life in minutes lost).

Seriously fun!

For those who have listened to Nick Pirog's Thomas Prescott series the Henry Bins series is what made Pirog famous. Pirog started self publishing for the Kindle format with Henry Bins. These books are marvelously creative and great fun. The short audio versions of this five book series are drastically overpriced, so it's best to wait for the September 24 release of the five novels in one audio book. Jamie Renell's narration is superb.

The short publisher's summary sets up 3:00 AM (and the entire series) perfectly.

Clever!

What a clever premise for a story! I even loved the cat, and I’m generally NOT a fan of anthropomorphic pets in books. But this one was well depicted, through the main character’s one-sided conversations in response. The whole thing was entertaining, funny without being absurd, and unique. I enjoyed it, and only figured out the whodunnit aspect a few minutes before the reveal. The clues are there, but they’re not terribly obvious.

A snappy little mystery.

I always like a twist and this was a premise I had never heard used in the thousands of books that have gone through my ears. Light but unique.

A great story

I thought it would be stupid, but it's actually a very good story. Humerus, and intriguing all at the same time. Looking forward toi ther next.

A Great Listen

Nick Pirog Definately has a way with stories and this one surely does not disappoint. One of the great things is the conversations with Lassie... lol. You will have lots of fun with this.

Great

THIS REVIEW IS FOR BOTH THE AUDIOBOOK AND EBOOK VERSIONS
Crazy, Hilarious, Unreal, and so very interesting. Great characters, well written story and the narration was perfect. I recommend this book and look forward to the next one in this series.

Couldn’t Suspend Disbelief

Great premise, terrible execution. The author included absolutely nothing that would allow me to suspend disbelief of the completely asinine idea that a sitting US President murdered a woman, knew a witness saw him leaving the scene, & then said witness single handedly solves the case despite local police, Secret Service, & FBI investigators being involved. And on top of all that the witness does all of that while only being awake 1 hour a day. I won’t include spoilers, but the actual case/investigation is beyond belief as well. This reads like an 8th grade fantasy story for extra credit in English.

3.00AM

What a refreshing change! An excellent unusual thriller with a fantastic cast! (lassie is great), imaginative, well written, and narrated!
I’d recommend this to anyone.
Thank you Mr Pirog!
