About this listen

The 2nd novel in James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series. When a little girl is shot on the steps of a San Francisco church, Detective Lindsay Boxer reconvenes the Women's Murder Club. Working with reporter Cindy Thomas, assistant DA Jill Bernhardt, and medical examiner Claire Washburn, Lindsay tracks a mystifying killer who quickly turns his pursuers into victims.

The unorthodox allegiances of the Women's Murder Club lead them to suspect the unexpected - the killer may be an ex-cop. But nothing prepares them for the demented logic behind his choice of victims.

Another great story, Pat Starr as narrator makes it shine. Converted from a dedicated paperback reader to an audible listener in 4 stories

Second chance was not as interesting or complex as First to Die. it did not have as many plot twists. But the bond between the women featuring in the series still makes for enjoyable listening. I am motivated to listen to the other books in the series. Lindsay Boxer is a compelling heroine, as are Claire, Jill and Cindy. The conflict between Lindsay and her father is examined. Will the women's murder club figure out who the killer/s are before people they love die?

Liked the book, but wasn’t quite as good as the first, narrator really didn’t need to make the pow pow noises lol

Not as gripping as the first

Yep, a good second.
And I didn't mind the narrator this time. Her performance was so much better.
I look forward to party 3

loving the books and series but your narrator is pronouncing words wrong and when she reads sentences wrong it makes understanding what the story line difficult. I hope she isn't the read for the rest its making the book hard to get through. sad for James Patterson.

you need a different narrator

I listened to the first one of this series and enjoyed it. This one not so much, a few technical flaws in the book and the character started to grate on me. I will try the third one a bit later in the future
