definitely a new favorite series of mine, will be getting the next book. Kevin Pierce really does this story justice as he does all of his other books. Glenn Tate is an awesome writer too, very knowledgeable and keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Great angle on the usual SHTF/apocalyptic stories. Bit of a wow burn, but worth it. Very good narration, almost as if the narrator was a 1950’s radio host – smooth, rich and clear voice that’s very easy to listen to.
Authors’ past and life experiences comes out in certain chapters of the book, adding weight to the story.
Looking forward to the rest in the series.

This is a wonderfully realistic and balanced survivalist book for the "everyman". It takes it's time, and creates rich characters that you can actually believe. The "ex special forces, but still the most dangerous guy around" cliche is nowhere to be seen, nor is the "I've never been formally trained but I'm a stone-cold killer" cliche. Don't get me wrong, those all have their place... but this title is unique. You will NOT regret spending your money and time on this absolute masterpiece.
This is clearly a labour of love, and the author clearly respects his audience. Beautifully done, sir.
