About this listen

The dictionary definition of peace and the Bible definition of peace differs considerably. The dictionary says peace is the absence of war but the Hebrew definition of peace means to restore in the sense of replacing or providing what is needed in order to make someone or something whole and complete.

My pastor once defined peace as not the absence of war but the calmness and confidence somebody experiences during a time of difficulty and trial. That makes sense, otherwise why would Peter, tied by four squads of soldiers, dare to fall asleep? The only reason that could be is that the church was praying for him and he rested in the confidence of the word Jesus had given him.

Peace helps you to know that your prayers have been answered by God. Peace is the fruit of the Spirit and helps you to carry on your walk with God even in times of trouble. Without the presence of peace there would be fear, anxiety, worry and every of other negative emotion.

This Scriptures on peace will help you centre your focus on the Word of God and the blessing that comes as a result of staying focused on Jesus Christ.
