About this listen
A rainy night. A storm incoming. A group of alcoholics trying to stay clean. But staying clean is impossible when you have blood on your hands. Justice will always catch up with you.
Adam lost his entire life to alcohol, but tonight, he is one year sober. While he never expects to be happy ever again, he is at least back in control of his life. That is, until a ghostly face appears at the window and turns his world into a nightmare.
Now, the only people he can rely on are his fellow drunks, and some of them are keeping secrets.

Great Thriller With A Cautious Warning
After feeling a bit let down by Dark Ride, I wasn’t sure what to expect from 12 Steps, the third book in Iain Rob Wright’s trilogy. Thankfully, this installment more than made up for it. From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The story returns to the familiar theme of being trapped, but this time with a fresh twist and a gripping sense of urgency that kept me turning pages from start to finish.
What really stood out was the mystery element—it was masterfully done. I found myself guessing and second-guessing what was really going on for a good three-quarters of the book, which made the eventual reveals all the more satisfying. Wright’s pacing and suspense were spot-on here.
Another powerful moment was the author’s introduction. His candid admission about being a high-functioning alcoholic was raw, honest, and deeply human. It added a layer of emotional depth and vulnerability that I truly appreciated.
While 12 Steps can stand on its own, I’d recommend reading Dark Ride first to fully understand one of the key characters and their backstory. This final chapter ties things together well and ends the trilogy on a high note.
Highly recommended—a strong finish to a unique and engaging series.
