About this listen
From James Patterson, the world’s bestselling author, comes a new Audible Original thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end.
After the killing of a prominent mob lawyer, NYPD homicide detectives Jacob Jackson and Caitlin Grimes start receive chilling, written “rules” for how to commit the perfect murder. "Rule number one for the perfect murder: Evidence is your enemy. Leave none behind."
Jackson (Reid Scott) and Grimes (Cobie Smulders) race to find the killer, setting them on a collision course with the city’s crime underbelly, and a perpetrator who seems happy to toy with them. “Rule number two. No crimes of passion. The perfect murder is always business, never pleasure.”
As the cryptic notes keep coming and the body count grows, the detectives must untangle the mystery to protect more innocent lives from being lost—including their own.
Please note: This audio drama is for mature audiences only. It contains violence and strong language. Discretion is advised.

The audio performance was amazing.
This was my first audio drama. It was so awesome. I loved how each character had their own performer. It was so fun to listen to.

10 Rules for a perfect murder
This was weird to me and the ending was just wrong! I thought it was an audio book but I am thinking podcast. Either was I will be paying more attention to what I am getting next time.

Fast short listen.
Colbie Smulders did a great job.
There were twists and turns to suit any mystery lover.
I wish it had been a bit longer and some of the chapters had been extended with some actual investigation instead of just the discoveries.
The twist at the end was a good one.

Amateurish on every level
I thought James Patterson was better than this pathetic dribble.
The storyline, script, performances, sound effects, tinny background atmospheric music were all below par. Disappointingly, there is nothing salvageable about this.
