Diana Gabaldon
Gabaldon describes her Outlander books as having three kinds of stories: enormous books of ‘no discernible genre’, shorter ‘more or less’ historical mysteries, and ‘the Bulges’ – want to know what that means? Listen in to the Outlander audiobooks and find out!
The highly acclaimed Outlander series is published in 26 countries and has more than 28 million copies in print worldwide. Its popularity has seen it adapted into a Golden Globe nominated television show.
Gabaldon is also the author of the Lord John series, a subset of the Outlander series that focuses on Lord John Grey. The titles include Lord John and the Hellfire Club (1998), Lord John and the Private Matter (2003), Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade (2007), Lord John and the Hands of the Devil (2007), The Scottish Prisoner (2011), Lord John and the Plague of Zombies (2011). The compelling Lord John audiobooks are historical mysteries with a touch of the supernatural.
Gabaldon has a degree in Zoology and Marine Biology and a Pd.D. in quantitative behavioural ecology. She also holds an honorary degree as Doctor of Humane Letters. Before becoming a published fiction writer, Gabaldon spent a dozen years working as a university professor. Gabaldon was born on 11 January 1952 in the United States. She lives with her family in Arizona.
