Outlander (1991) was the novel that introduced a best-selling series. In this first book we meet Claire Randell, a former combat nurse. Claire discovers that she has travelled back in time, from her present (1945), all the way back to war torn Scotland in 1743. Claire finds herself in a world of intrigue, torn between the love of two men, and the adventure of two worlds.
The adventures continue in the Dragonfly in Amber audiobook. The second book in the Outlander series of novels by Diana Gabaldon. Once more we journey with time-travelling British nurse Claire Randall. This action packed story of adventure, history, mystery, and romance is compelling and vivid. Dragonfly in Amber is brought to life by the Audie award winning narrator Davina Porter whose performance has been described as “perfectly nuanced, wonderfully relaxing, and sumptuously toned”.
