A history lover, Susan F. Craft researches for her novels with the same excitement as Alan Quartermain hunting for King Solomon's Mines and with the persistence of Lewis and Clark. She enjoys the chase when a clue leads her from one "treasure" to the next, to the next.
Susan retired from a 45-year career in writing, editing, and communicating in business settings.
She authored a historical romantic suspense trilogy - Women of the American Revolution (The Chamomile, Laurel, and Cassia) which received national recognition, two of the books received national Silver Illumination Awards, and the other an Okra Pick, and a Christy Award nomination.
In 2025, Wild Heart Books released three of Susan's Christian Historical Romances, part of her Great Wagon Road series--Love's Winding Road, March 12; Trail of Promises, June 25; and Trail to Love, September 17. Each book has received positive reviews. Praise included a recommendation for Love's Winding Road from Publisher's Weekly. In 2026, Wild Heart Books released a collection of novellas, entitled Freed by the Frontier, including one by Craft--Wagon Train Serenade.
An admitted history nerd, she enjoys painting, singing, listening to music, and sitting on her porch as squirrels rob her bird feeder. She most recently took up the ukulele.
