I'm a member of the Mystery Writers of America and the British Crime Writers Association. My first published mystery novel, "The Man on the Washing Machine," was the winning entry in the First Crime Novel competition jointly sponsored by the Mystery Writers of America and Minotaur Books. The second Theo Bogart mystery is "The Man in the Microwave Oven." At home in San Francisco and Florida, I'm both trans-Atlantic and trans-continental, with a large and boisterous extended family in England, where I also have a home. I've been a journalist; marketing and public relations director for a safari park, and fundraiser for schools and non-profit organizations. I'm a Star Trek geek. I have a Starfleet Academy decal on my car and wore a communicator pin on my graduation gown. Perhaps inevitably, I have a small and prized collection of first editions, signed editions and otherwise interesting mysteries. Less inevitably, I also collect royal commemorative mugs, which are produced for the births, Christenings, marriages and coronations of the English Royals. I love them beyond reason, but they have no redeeming value whatsoever.
