Stefan M. Bradley is the Charles Hamilton Houston '15 Professor of Black Studies and History at Amherst College. Previously, he was the inaugural BCLA Associate Dean of Faculty Development and DEI at Loyola Marymount University. He is the recipient of numerous awards and commendations for his scholarship, teaching, leadership, and service. Bradley researches the effects of youth activism on American on American politics and policy. Bradley's latest book is "If We Don't Get It: A People's History of Ferguson." He is also author of "Upending the Ivory Tower: Civil Rights, Black Power, and the Ivy League," which won the Anna Julia Cooper and CLR James Book Award, the History of Education Society Outstanding Book Award, and was a finalist for both the Pauli Murray Book Prize and PROSE Book Award. Additionally, Bradley penned "Harlem vs. Columbia University: Black Student Power in the Late 1960s," which won the Phillis Wheatley Book Prize and co-editor of "Alpha Phi Alpha: A Legacy of Greatness, The Demands of Transcendence." His work has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Rolling Stone. Bradley has been featured on Cspan2 BookTV, MSNBC, CNN, as well as nationally syndicated radio stations such as NPR. He is frequently invited to lecture at venues around the nation.
