I've owned and operated small businesses my entire life, and I've been helping others become successful running their small businesses for about 40 years through writing, speaking, and consulting. While attending UCLA Law School, I made the decision to pursue business instead of law. Since then I have founded over 20 businesses, fifteen of which helped me pay the mortgage. I am currently building MasterMind groups under the SoCalMasterMinds.com brand, and consulting with several small businesses. I have long been a fan of Elon Musk, and last year I realized that many of his methods of doing business would be applicable to my business and those of others I was helping. To my knowledge there isn't currently and hasn't been in the past a single volume that covers the journey of the small business owner from idea, through planning, to starting, growing, managing, and even exiting a business.
