Dr. Rachele DeMeo, Ph.D., is a published author, school director for FLAM San Diego, educator, speaker, and YouTuber dedicated to empowering individuals through language, culture, and education. Born in Southern France to English-speaking parents (American-Italian father and British mother), she was raised in a uniquely multilingual and multicultural environment. This global upbringing shaped her passion for international education and language acquisition from an early age. Dr. DeMeo holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, as well as two Master's degrees (a Master's in Education and a Master's of Art), and has built a distinguished career teaching at the university, secondary, and elementary levels, as well as training instructors and corporate professionals. Although she is most known for her expertise in teaching French, she also has experience instructing English and Italian as second languages. Her work in education spans curriculum design, textbook and article writing, teacher training, and the creation of instructional video content enjoyed by learners worldwide. She is the founder of Belle Terre Academy, where she offers a variety of language-based courses, and the founder and director of FLAM San Diego, a nonprofit organization providing after-school French classes and cultural programs for students of all ages in the San Diego area and throughout the United States. Dr. DeMeo previously served as President of the American Association of Teachers of French in San Diego, advocating for excellence in French language education. Outside her professional endeavors, she enjoys extreme sports, music (piano and singing), and cooking. She is married, raising two bilingual and multicultural teenagers, and is a proud pet lover. She is deeply committed to advocating for children and animals in need. As a Christian, she is guided by her faith in all that she does.
