P. M. Freestone writes young adult fiction. Her debut novel, 'Shadowscent: The Darkest Bloom' will be published by Scholastic in 2019. A sequel is planned for 2020. Originally hailing from Australia, she now calls Scotland home. In between, she learned or worked on every continent except Antarctica (there's still time). Along the way, she earned degrees in archaeology, religious history and sociology, and a PhD in infectious diseases and international development. She's also a Clarion Writers’ Workshop (University of California) graduate and a Scottish Book Trust New Writer’s Award winner. She's only ever met one cheese she didn't like.
