A New Jersey native, Matthew Lukesh was raised in a home which held and deeply encouraged an appreciation for the arts and literature. Having earned his Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing from William Paterson University, Matthew put aside his schooling and pursued a career in tattooing which he has been doing so for over 25 years. Only recently has Matthew returned to his love for writing, launching his first book in 2022, Edsel Peck in The Rusted Empire—the first in a planned series intended for middle grade/young adults readers. In his free time, Matthew is an avid illustrator and painter. He currently lives in Iowa with his family.
