Hello and thank you for visiting my Amazon Page. I am Marie Perruchet, author of "One Perfect Pitch, how to sell your idea, your product, your business or yourself" at McGraw-Hill. As a former journalist for the BBC and for other media outlets such as Radio France Internationale and TV5, I came across hundreds of people sharing their stories in Europe, in India and in China where I was located for a number of years. In 2008, inspired by the storytelling techniques used by former President Barack Obama to humanize his campaign, I moved to Silicon Valley where I helped prepare startup founders and entrepreneurs for Demo Day when they pitch venture capital funds and angel investors. I worked with many incubators from 500 Startups, the largest accelerator program in the U.S., to Foreign incubators from South Korea, Turkey, France, Germany, Japan, Chile, UK, Mexico. This is where I realized that the need for a perfect pitch was not only reserved to public figures or entrepreneurs, it was fundamental for anyone looking to tell compelling stories about their products, their services or themselves: CEOs, product managers, project managers, marketers, business executives, parents, students etc... "One Perfect Pitch", my first business book, draws on my experience as a journalist, as an entrepreneur, as a marketer, working with business executives to shape their stories and deliver effective pitches. It's a step-by-step methodology including exercises, to effectively communicate your value in seconds, whether you are pitching in a taxi, at a board meeting or on stage. Born in South Korea, adopted to French parents, I grew up in Normandy and I now live in San Francisco where I create great stories for companies.
