Linda Kinstler is a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows, a contributing writer at The New York Times Magazine, and a non-resident fellow at the Kennan Institute. Her first book, Come to This Court and Cry: How the Holocaust Ends won a 2023 Whiting Award in Non-Fiction and was shortlisted for the Wingate Prize for Jewish literature. Her reporting and criticism regularly appears in The New York Review of Books, the London Review of Books, The Guardian Long Read, and elsewhere. She is also the recipient of the 2026 Commonweal Prize for Short Fiction and has appeared on NPR, the BBC, CNN and MS Now, among others. She previously worked as an editor at The Dial, Politico, and The New Republic magazines, and currently lives in Washington, D.C. and Cambridge, MA.
