Letty Lundquist was born to a German father and an Ecuadorian mother and raised in Germany and Ecuador both. Since an early age, Lundquist was fascinated with the power of story-telling, and dreamt of becoming writer, a dream that took a backseat due to language barriers when Lundquist moved to the United. Instead Lundquist moved to Los Angeles, California, became an attorney, and started practicing exclusively immigration law. While taking a break from work due to pregnancy and small children, Lundquist finally began writing the DEBITUM books, a series of literary fiction/ crime fiction. In her DEBITUM series, Lundquist explores the student loan pandemic in the United States, introducing a protagonist and her struggles of what’s morally right and what’s wrong when it comes to the question how far a person willing to go to avoid financial devastation. The DEBITUM books are Lundquist’s first series.
