Kyla May is an Australian illustrator, writer and designer. She is the creator and illustrator of over fifty books. Some of the book series she's worked on include Diary of a Pug, Paris Takes Over the World, Monsties, Lotus
Lane, Princess and Unicorn, and Juliet, Nearly a Vet.
In addition to books, Kyla has created and worked on several animated TV series for children such as Kuu Kuu Harajuku, SheZow and Flea-Bitten. Kyla has also designed toys for Mattel and Moose and other toy companies.
Kyla started her creative life as an art director in advertising, then designed a successful greeting card range called Flirt that won Australia's Greeting Card Range of the Year. The characters later sold all around the world, which opened the door to children's books.
Kyla lives by the beach in Melbourne, Australia, with her three daughters, two dogs and two cats who serve as the inspiration for her work.
