Left from the course in aesthetics and art history at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Letters, Keio University. Was in charge of editing the The seventh series of the"Mita Bungaku" (Mita Literature) from the time he was a university student. After working as an editor, record director and copywriter, began his career as a writer and journalist in the late 1980s, focusing on F1, football and other sports. He wrote the original story for the Shonen Jump manga series F no Senna (Flash of F), featuring Ayrton Senna. Contributed 'Personality Discovery Biography:Yukio Mishima'to "Men's Non-No"in 1995. In 1997, he became editor-in-chief of 2002 CLUB, Japan's first football web magazine, and his coverage of the 2002 Japan-Korea World Cup led him to develop criticism on issues such as Japanese abductions from North Korea, history, security, media theory and cultural theory, and he shifted his main field of writing.
He was a member of the editorial board of the magazine Expressionist from 2006 to 2011, and launched and served as editor-in-chief of the magazines Gekiron Mook and JAPANISM in December 2007 and April 2011, respectively. He is a visiting researcher at the Strategic Information Institute. Vice-president of the Asian Liberal Democratic Solidarity Council.Part-time lecturer at the Faculty of International Cultural Studies, Kanto Gakuin University, 2017-2021.Visiting professor at the Centre for South Asian Studies, Gifu Women's University, 2018.
