Hello My name is Julia Maria Gouldsboro welcome to my author page. I love writing and am now branching out to different genres of writing. My most recent publication is a short picture book called " Cows on Chingford plains" and tells the story through beautifully illustrated pictures as to why the longhorn cows graze at Chingford plains in Epping forest. Another recent publication is a short guide to memoir writing. I have delivered some workshops in my local community that have been very successful My books include: Telling your story: a guide to memoir writing as well as books that would be benefical to those caring for children. My interests lie in early years education and how to enable children to develop into competent and confident young adults. To do this, they have to live in a world that is positive and welcoming, that listen to them when they are young and that have a sense of community and identity. My first book"Promoting British values in the early years" reflects on the importance of identity and community. I recently held a book launch in my local area of Chingford and what struck me was the diverse community all living together trying to be positive in a climate that is often full of fear and negativity. If we want children to grow up accepting and respectful, we also need to be the same. My next book launch is due soon and it focuses on my next book " The voice of the child"This book is very relevant to all parents of young children as well as those who work in education. I have worked as a lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and an education consultant, teaching many courses in childcare and education and I feel that we all need to work together, parents, teachers, and all those who care for children in order to ensure they grow up to become responsible and confident citizens that care for each other.
