I have been an entrepreneur since my early teens. It started with babysitting, newspaper delivery (does that still exist?), car cleaning, door-to-door sales, snow shovelling & of course waiting on tables :)
As a CEO I helped lead the growth of one of the most memorable fitness & natural bodybuilding organizations at the time. In the process helped pioneer & launch the natural bodybuilding and fitness model revolution along with their spinoffs. Under my leadership the World Natural Sports Organization, the FAME World Tour & the BodyPROUD Social Initiative hosted hundreds of events around the world, inspiring millions to take positive action for their wellbeing.
As a PRODUCER I helped coordinate television shows in 5 continents, with a #1 hit series on TSN (Canada’s Sports Network). I also oversaw the production of hundreds of events, expos, seminars and workshops around the world, witnessing over 20,000 people showcase their transformations.
As a SPOKESPERSON I have spoken and emceed on stages worldwide, been featured in interviews, articles, podcasts and talk shows.
As a PUBLISHER I launched Canada’s first Environmental Magazine - Recover - back in 1990 and help lead the FAME Lifestyle Magazine to remarkable success.
As an ADVISOR, I shared wisdom, experience and insight on advisory boards and launch committees from nutritional brands to technology. Most recently I serve on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Authors Association (CAA) & Co-Chair the Marketing, Communications & Programming Boads.
Along the way I studied & practiced accounting, creative writing, philosophy, personal training, performance nutrition, NLP, plant based nutrition, energy medicine, massage therapy, reflexology, business coaching and delved into the metaphysical. I have been trained & mentored by some of the top people from spirituality & emotional intelligence to mindfulness, business and goal setting to body mechanics, nutrition and functionality.
I did most of that with Mindy Blackstien, my wife, partner and best friend of over 25 years.
Today, as an AUTHOR we’ve launched The Ridiculous, a comedy book series along with a continuity program. It has ranked #1 on Amazon in: Comedy; Science Fiction; Self-Help & Psychology Humor and Happiness. The book is filled with memorable laugh out loud moments and meaningful mindset shifts gleaned from the information, inspiration, insights and innovations we’ve experienced.
