Jay Kay was a magazine journalist in Germany for many years and also worked as a press officer for one of the biggest international gaming software companies. He discovered science fiction and fantasy at an early age. Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings have been particularly influential on him. He is a member of the German Tolkien Society and publishes fiction (SF and fantasy) under his pen name. He currently works as a lecturer in film, story, and screenwriting at a private educational institution. He devotes most of his free time to writing.
