I'm a career computer geek, and have had a keyboard in front of me since I was 9 (Thanks Apple ][+ ). I was a Russian lit major, but fell back on my tech skills post college. After spending 30+ years in various management and leadership roles across finance, banking, technology and even Russian fishing companies, I have quite a few stories to tell. Taken from various stages of my learning career, both new managers and seasoned ones will hopefully see how I approached certain issues, and either learn from what I did, or avoid it. The examples are short and include various challenges across bring people in, letting them go, coaching them, communicating, and managing up,down and across. I write in a conversational style, so, it may make you sigh, laugh, or make you think about leadership in a different way.
