Honey Gouge Casey is a novelist shaped by the ridgelines and river valleys of her Appalachian ancestors. With more than thirty-five years spent researching family histories, archival documents, and the oral traditions of East Tennessee, she brings the past to life with a rare blend of accuracy, lyricism, and emotional depth. Her debut novel,Whiskey & Ashes, explored the legacy of her Gouge family post civil war through Prohibition. Her newest work, The Blood Weave, opens the Covenant Trilogy an immersive blend of historical fiction, folklore, andthe fierce resilience of the people who carved out their lives in the shadow of the Southern mountains. Inspired in part by the magic she shared with herlate sister, Annie, this series weaves memory, myth, and heritage into a tale ofhealing and rebirth. Born and raised in Texas after her father’s relocation to work with NASAin the 1960s, Honey has always carried the stories and her family of East Tennessee like a second heartbeat. She now makes her home in Zavalla, Texas,bordered by Lake Sam Rayburn and the Angelina National Forest wild placesthat echo the mountains she writes about. A Registered Nurse and Nursing Director with a background in criticalcare, Honey approaches her characters with the same compassion and steadiness she brings to her work.
