Originally from Southeast Washington, D.C., Maliek now resides in Southern California, where he serves as the CEO of the Whole Brother Mission—a nonprofit that seeks to equip men to be whole in every area of life. The Whole Brother Mission accomplishes this by providing its members with assisted access to licensed professional counseling/therapy, mentorship, and an online life skills program that centers on entrepreneurship, higher education, and financial literacy. Before joining the Whole Brother Mission, Maliek worked as a university dean and a diversity consultant. He is completing a doctoral degree in counseling, and his focus is facilitating conversations that challenge the public to analyze their views on family, friendship, and identity.
