Dr. Amy Jauman is a certified Social Media Strategist and Chief Learning Officer at the National Institute for Social Media. She is a social media consultant, writer and professor and her formal education includes a master s degree in experiential education, so you ll find plenty of real-world application prompts. She also has a doctorate in organization development, so there s a lot of information about how to work with people in a variety of business environments. Her interest in helping people prepare for and pass the SMS certification exam was piqued in 2011 when she began looking for ways she could establish her credibility in social media. Dr. Jauman discovered that many of her peers working in social media and students venturing out as marketing professionals had the same need for social media credentials that accurately represented their knowledge and experience. When presented with the chance to write these books and provide students and professionals with a practical guide to the six content domains covered in the SMS certification exam, she jumped at the opportunity.
