Douglas A. Gosselin is a storyteller whose passion for history stems from a lifelong dedication to service and a deep respect for those whose quiet actions shape the course of events. He began his military career as an Army airborne infantryman, serving as a scout on a Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP) team, before transitioning to a 20-year career in the United States Air Force, where he worked across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa. His experiences in regions marked by conflict, diplomacy, and transformation gave him unique insight into the process of building nations and securing freedom—work that often goes unseen by most but is essential to lasting change. His writing blends meticulous research with narrative imagination, drawing readers into the unrecorded margins of history where enslaved men and women, displaced Acadians, Indigenous nations, and unseen operatives carried the hidden burdens of freedom. Through his “architecture of secrecy,” Gosselin asks what it truly costs to preserve liberty and what it means to serve in silence. Beyond his trilogy, he has co-authored the NarraVox series (False Foreword: The Algorithm is the Weapon), a contemporary techno-thriller exploring AI, disinformation, and the weaponization of narrative itself, as well as the Southern Gothic novella The Hollow That Ate the Sun, a lyrical meditation on memory, loss, and brotherhood. When he isn’t writing, Gosselin is a lifelong student of history and strategy, passionate about exploring the intersections of past and present. He enjoys connecting with readers who share his fascination with the stories that live in the silences of history.
