Dinah Jordan is a retired technical writer turned memoirist whose work blends clarity, compassion, and emotional depth. Throughout her career, she helped clients transform complex ideas into accessible, purposeful communication—an approach she now brings to her storytelling craft. Her debut book, Defying Disability: One Couple’s Journey of Fierce Love and Unwavering Faith, was written during the quiet months of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time that gave her space to reflect and finally honor the story she’d long carried in her heart. The book pays tribute to her uncle Bert and aunt Darlene, whose courage and devotion—despite the physical challenges caused by polio—continue to inspire generations. A lifelong creative, Dinah enjoys writing poetry, crafting personal essays, and preserving family history. She's also known for her love of piano playing, Renaissance fairs (often with a Steampunk twist), scuba diving adventures, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. She lives in Florida, where she continues to explore themes of legacy, healing, and love through her writing. Dinah comes from a family of storytellers and published authors. Before writing Defying Disability, she proudly served as editor for her sister Debbie Lawson’s book, Playpen Theology, and collaborated on several projects with her father, Dale L. Rowley, whose devotionals and family histories helped inspire her own path. Whether through print, audio, or heartfelt conversation, Dinah’s greatest hope is that her work will speak to those seeking resilience, meaning, and connection.
