A Friulian son of emigrants, he has lived between Friuli and Tuscany where he currently lives. He is an expert in Church History and Medieval History and is involved in publishing in the cultural heritage sector. With Nardini Editore he has published two bestsellers on the relationship between religion and food culture: Viaggio illustrato nella cucina ebraica and Viaggio illustrato nella cucina islamica. In recent years he has proposed himself mainly as an author of thrillers with historical and contemporary settings, The Dark Hills (Nardini Editore), The City of Evil (Nardini Editore), The Library of Lost Books (Nardini Editore 2022), The Keeper of the Seals (Nardini Editore 2023) With Newton Compton he has published two highly successful thrillers, The Murder Monastery (2018) and The House of the Cursed Manuscript (2019). The latter was published in audiobook version by Audible (2020). With Nardini he also edited his first novel in the Friulian language with Italian translation, Il cjant des Aganis (2021)
