On the birth of Princess Aurora, an evil fairy places a curse on her and declares that before the sun sets on her 16th birthday, she will die by pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. To protect her from the evil spell, the king agrees to place Aurora in the care of three spirited good fairies who live in a cottage in the woods. One of the fairies conjures a spell so Aurora will fall into a deep sleep instead, to be awakened only by a kiss from her true love.

Barbe Bleue est un homme très laid à cause de sa barbe, bleue, et personne ne veut l’épouser. Un jour pourtant, alors qu’il donne une fête somptueuse dans son château, la fille de sa voisine trouve ce grand Monsieur étrange, à la barbe bleue, très séduisant. Ils se marient, et peu de temps après, Barbe bleue part en voyage en confiant à sa jeune épouse toutes les clés de son château. Elle peut inviter toutes ses amies, aller partout, ouvrir toutes les portes, sauf une qu’il lui interdit…

Un meunier donne à son dernier fils son plus petit héritage : un chat. Celui-ci, désespéré par sa pauvreté, se demande bien en quoi un petit chat pourrait bien l'aider à surmonter ses soucis d'argent. Mais c'est sans compter sur l'intelligence de cet animal incroyable, inventant mille tours de malices !
