Catalina González Vilar, Alicante, Spain. After graduating in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Barcelona, she embarked on a remarkable literary career. She has received numerous awards for her talent, including the prestigious Barco de Vapor Prize in 2012 for El secreto del huevo azul (The Secret of the Blue Egg), the Villa Pozuelo de Alarcón Young Adult Novel Prize in 2011 for Los coleccionistas (The Collectors), the Children's and Young Adult Fiction Inventions Award in 2011 (Mexico) for La Señorita Taqui (Miss Taqui), and the Edelvives International Illustrated Album Award in 2016 (Spain). Notably, her work Molly Wind: Bibliotecarias a caballo (Molly Wind: Librarians on Horseback), won her the Best Children's Comic Award at the 2024 Barcelona Comic Fair in Spain. She creates novels, albums, comics, informative books for young people and plays, showcasing her diverse literary oeuvre.
